HMS Centaur was a 74-gun, third-rate ship of the line built in Harwich and launched in 1801.

Built as a Middling 3rd Rate.

She fought at Trafalgar in the weather column commanded by Nelson. Eventually she also received the surrender of Admiral Villeneuve aboard the Bucentaure.
